About Victor

Victor Fermin was born in Mexico and lives in Ireland. He has travelled through six countries so far, and counting: Ireland, the USA, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. In 2025 he lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, in Colonia Providencia, where he walked every day through its tree-lined streets and parks with his three dogs. Wherever he goes, he explores on foot: new areas, long trails and wide-open landscapes.

At home, his walks are rarely solo. His three dogs, Renzo, Dona and Pachin, come along on most of them, which is why his guides are written with a pack in mind: where dogs are allowed, how to handle narrow paths or city crossings with three leads, where to find shade and water, and how each of the three reacts along the route.

He writes Joyride AI's guides in English and Spanish—from the mountains of Connemara, the Burren and the Galway coast in Ireland to the leafy streets, camellones and pet-friendly cafés of Colonia Providencia in Guadalajara, Jalisco. A keen photographer, he plans his walks around the light as much as the distance, and Renzo, Dona and Pachin often end up in the frame.
