How Sightseer routes work

When you choose Sightseer in the planner, Joyride AI looks along your route for landmarks, museums, galleries, monuments and historic places rated 3.8 stars or higher, and favours places that many people have reviewed. Short trips get one stop and longer ones up to three, and stops are only added if they don't make the journey much longer.

Make the most of a sightseeing walk

Check opening hours before you set off, as many museums close one day a week. Free places such as churches, libraries and civic buildings make good short stops. Look above the shopfronts: older details often survive on upper floors. And try a familiar route at a different time: early mornings and the hour before sunset change how a city looks.
